Show Update #14- Sarah Shield's Birthday Party
It just so happens Sarah had her party at the Trinity Cathedral. And it just so happens she decided to have Arrow Three be the live entertainment.
Well this was the best I'd ever heard Arrow Three, the quality of the PAsystem, and then acoustics of the church hall added to the fullness of the performance.
They began without their usual intro, but instead with another good song. They had a couple songs where they just played and didn't have lyrics to the song. Joe even went on the microphone and specified when the song would have lyrics or not, and gave the whole reasoning as to why it was ok that the song didn't have lyrics. Later Arrow Three began covering some Saves the Day songs, covering them very well i might add. I'm guessing they chose Saves the Day to cover because that is Sarah's favorite band, quite a good birthday present indeed. Brian, really has the perfect voice for covering Saves the Day, Joe has the perfect voice for covering the back up vocals of Saves the Day, and on guitar, bass, and drums, there's no question on whether or not its perfect.
Some memorable happenings of the set: Yapes coming in screaming "1 2 LEE 4!" and his microphone being louder than Joe or Brian's. The family of Sarah seeming very happy to be honored with live entertainment such as Arrow Three. The Yapes jump, that I missed but saw in picture. The band coming out dressed in suits and jeans.
The band took a short break and then Joe and Brian returned with an electric accoustic guitar, getting ready to play some more Saves the Day covers. Good stuff. I hear Arrow Three and the Never New Johnnies are going to be playing at the January Trinity show. I Can't wait.
