Unsound, mewithoutYou, armor for sleep, and This Day Forward @ the First Unitarian Church

mewithotYou is the best band that ever was. They were so good, that it made me think, hay, incredible. Before the show began, i got the privilege of talking to Aaron for a lil', a nice guy, an awesome singer, and the coolest guy to talk to. That sounds dumb and probably like im a fruity guy, but Aaron is a great guy. When we called him over to tlak to him he quickly turned to the person he was with and stated, "hold on, i need to go talk to some people".

Unsound, the first band, was a goodband. The singer had a plethora of wacky effects to alter his voice. The one guitarist had an 80's hair style. The bassist had more then a high beard, he also had a tendency to raise his bass over his head.

mewithoutYou, number two band on the roster. Number one band at the show, if you see what im saying. We also got the privilege to see the Mr. and Mrs. Weiss, aka, Aaron and Mike's parents, who were seeing their sons for the very first time playing as mewithoutYou. It was a very special moment.

Then comes armor for sleep. Not a fan. They had a wannabe asian for a singer/guitar. They were the whiniy pemop band, No good is a word group i can describe them as.

This Day Forward was a crazyband. The singer began the set by running into the crowd/jumping of the small stage, right all up in my grill, i got bumped way over. Then he doused chips all over the place. They had a wild guy for a guitar player.

The show was an excellent one.

last thursday was the mewithoutyou/armor for sleep/this day forward/unsound show: i picked up ian and matt and we were off to the first unitarian church. we got there extra early and while we were waiting around in line, matt pointed out aaron, the lead singer of mewithoutyou. after a while he came back and we took the opportunity to call him over and talk to him. he and matt talked about some wild journey involving some truckers and a raft or something. anyway, after a bunch of people cut us in line we jumped in but still got in the front. direct center under/next to the main microphone.

first band was unsound, from nj. haha. they had a really crazy guitarist. think d sutt plus six more inches of hair and ubiquity. the singer had a ton of nutty pedals and voice things to make him sound fancier. all in all they were very good and gave us free cds.

next was mewithoutyou. they were superlative. aaron featured some wild spins and crazy moves. also they played bullet to binary and gentlemen, which made very happy. haha. the show also featured aaron and his brother's parents. not much else to say except they were very good and gave me a cool deal on a shirt (5 doos).

then armor for sleep came on. ian and matt got stuck in the back for that one because they were buying merchandise. they didn't think armor for sleep was that good but i thought that they were very good. they didn't go very wild or anything. but i still liked them. haha

last was this day forward. they were crazy. as soon as they started the lead singer jumped off the stage and created a pit. as well he spilled some chips around and ian and i heard a nice comment about how chips taste better when stepped on than when they have salsa. haha. other than that they played a good set and then whence they were done we were off. oh yeah, i also found a mewithoutyou button on the ground, very good. heh.
