Show Update #4- Friday Night at Princeton Community Church

Band #1- Gangus Kon
They waited a little because people were still coming in. Then it was show time, the lights were dimmed and the music began. Holy shit, i heard these guys were good from joe and brian, but i really didn't know what to expect. They had a singer and a screamer and kick ass guitars + kick ass bass + kick ass drums. Mosh started right away. The energy was all there. The thought "Man I'm not going to join the circle and i'm not going to have a good time because of it, i'm just going to stand here and stay away from being made fun of later" crossed my mind but it didn't help any with forming my conclusion. I was in, i was circling, i was following the music, i was enjoying the music, and i felt like i was a part of something great. Anyway Ghangis Khan was nice, haha they even covered at the drive in and acdc (haha i half expected it to be a cover of nnj, but nope). In the one armed scissor cover they added a pretty sweet touch by making the screamer scream the chorus. Also they played it well, as by this point, expected. And as joe and ian have said, in back in black there was a great guitar solo delivered by a great guitar player in the middle of the song. This band gets a 37 out of 10. They're just that good.

Band #2- Next to Nothing
These guys were the music style i've been listening to a lot recently. If they don't get some where some day, then thats just bull shit and i'm tired of fucking critics. To me they were great. Suprisingly i think i recognized one of the singers from kayaking, but it might just be the long hair. Might i add, they threw out stickers and i happened to jump an asian..., no really i picked up one, which was very cool.

Band #3- John Wolfe's band
They had John Wolfe on guitar, Jordan Wolfe on bass (whhhhaaaa?), i forget who on drums, and some guy i have never seen before in my life and he looked like he was 26 so i half wondered why he was singing with a 16 year old, a 18 year old, and an unknown, but whatever. His voice slightly reminded me of Godsmack or the newer metalica (which in my point of view are both highly over played on the radio (one of the things that stopped me from listening to the radio in fear that it would kill them for me) and a lot of their songs sound the same), but it was music. The moshing kind of died down and the music was a little boring for me so i just stood with val and talked to people and didn't pay much attention. The band wasn't bad, they just weren't in my liking, although i didn't hate them.

Band #4- Killing Dawn
They were in one word, "boss". I actually wanted to say "great", but "great" has been said to much already and i always say "great" so we'll stick with "boss" for now. I knew they were going to be "boss", but i didn't expect them to be this "boss". They were just sweet. And then Brian went crazy. And then Brian sang vocals, with yet another style of his voice, and "it was just like yea...i know these guys, and i'm good friends with 3/5s of them. I also get picked on by half of the left over 2, but i think its in good humor, since he's quite cool when he's not trying to touch me." Killing dawn = good music. Also Paul chucked me a pick which i added to my pick jar.

Band #5- Never The Less
Before i go into talking about Never the Less, i just want to talk about the cliche that is always there and is always there for just Never the Less (they come in before Never the Less starts, and leave when they're done, they have no interest in the music). Almost all of the guys in that crowd are complete fucking assholes so from now on in this post they will be called bitches. Not all guys in the cliche are bitches though so don't worry. Anyway when a kid is moshing or having a great time by being with his friends in a mosh circle, why be a bitch and think your funny by messing with the kid because of your dislike for him and you think you'll get cool points with your bitch friends, for picking on him. While i was standing on the side i feel my knee get kicked forward so that i almost fall. I turn around to hear a bitch go "Oh hey sorry man, i didn't see you there", while his supposed buds chuckle like bitches. I thought of saying "Dude, your pathetic, since you don't have the balls to join a circle and get your pretty boy face knocked up, over music that is great. You don't even have the balls to mess with a tall, lanky swimmer face to face. You don't get this whole thing, you think that everyone in the circle is trying to kill each other. Instead their taking part in music, most of them are friends, when a person falls over 3-5 people come over to help pick them up, and when the music is over the fight is over. So get lost, go sit the bench in soccer, bitch", but bitches don't deserve replies to their bitching. I joined the circle again and continued having fun. Stand again 20 minutes later, same bitch out of nowhere, tries to push me over from behind. I think to myself, alright bitch, you're going to get bitch stomped, you stupid bitch. Never the less comes on, bitch's favorite band. I decide to go sit down with val. I see bitch get up with his white shirt and black hat and decide to actually try moshing. I say i'ma go val, cya in a bit. Not 30 seconds of moshing, the bitch is on the ground, hat across the floor. Bitch tries getting back up, and almost up, bitch gets knocked back down. Bitch is probably thinking "Fuck man, i'm such a bitch, i just got wrecked by some tall, lanky swimmer." I go back around the circle, bitch is regathering his bitch hat and walking off like a pansy bitch who just gave birth and with his head down. Enough on bitches and their misconceptions, and their desire to be Never the Less's biggest groupies (sleeping with the band and all), and how they are the worst, most rotten people i've ever met, oh and how they go out to ruin the good nature of shows and instead get wrecked.

Never the Less, is good. I've been trying to tell people that. There is nothing wrong with their playing, nor their taste in music. Just because its not my type of music doesn't mean they suck. It just means their not my type of band. I wish they would make some new stuff though, but it all sounds the same to me anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference.

Band #6- the Sidewalk Heroes
Sidewalk heroes was great, their drums even killed the stage and then they played on the floor level with everyone else. I payed more attention to someone i like a lot though, but i'm sure they were just as good as the last time i heard them. I don't think i got any free stuff this time though, :-(.
